New Opening Hours for our Shop!
After a very busy summer, things are starting to get back to normal here at St Tola. Autumn seems to have come all of a sudden but our lovely shop is still open. September opening times are Monday to Friday only 10am to 5pm.
The fabulous Brook Lodge at Macredding Village in Wicklow have the most fantastic menu for the Autumn season. The Big Harvest Menu features the very best of Irish Organic Food from around our beautiful Island. A 7 course tasting menu includes pork from the Crowe brothers in Tipperary, apples from Highbanks farm and of course lovely cheese from us here at St Tola!

Supreme Champion of the Irish Cheese Awards! 2013
We have had a bumper month here at St Tola! For the first time, the Irish Cheese Awards were held at Bloom. We were delighted that our mature log won Gold in its class and also our new Ash Log won Gold in the New Cheese category and....Supreme Champion! Meanwhile in Rome...our Ash Log also awarded 1st in its class at the International Premio Roma Awards! We are over the moon here and its a validation of all our hard work and creativity.
Our new shop is getting busy - lots of customers from all over the world America, Canada, England, France and Australia. Come and see us - open Monday to Saturday 10 to 5 and Sunday 12 to 5pm.

Lots of news!
Exciting times at St Tola! We opened our farm shop this week on Wednesday!!! - We will be open 7 days a week from 10am to 5pm. Come and taste our lovely cheese and see our goats! We are delighted be able to offer a range of other local Clare products including Clare Jams in Doolin, Burrensmoke House Salmon and Wild Irish Seaveg from Spanish Point.
We are all looking forward to BLOOM in Phoenix Park, Grainne and Siobhan will be there next Thursday 30th to Monday 3rd June. It promises to be a bumper festival and this year for the first time the Irish Cheese awards will be held during the festival. Pray for good weather and see you all there!

Event reminder!
Lots and lots going on here in Co Clare! This evening, a night of cheese and wine and the lovely Kilshanny House. It is the first event in a series of Monday night food events as part of the Burren Food Trail that is going to be launched at Hotel Doolin this coming Saturday night. The second year of the Clare Garden Show as the showgrounds in Ennis will be on Sunday 28th of April and it promises to be a fine show!

Filming at St Tola!
Great news! We are delighted to announce that on Tuesday 8th May, RTE programme "Surf and Turf" will be filming here at St Tola! We will be joined by celebrity chef Paul Flynn who will be looking at our cheese house and cooking some delicious goat meat! We will keep you informed of the date it will be aired.
As you can see, our goats are now enjoying the spring air and fresh grass - we have some kids for sale also, any interested parties to give Brian a ring on 065 683 66 33.
Our summer markets are back in full swing in Clare again. Visit Sineads lovely stalls in Kinvara (Friday) Ennistymon (Sat) and Lahinch (Sunday) Dave Smith at Kilrush (Thursday) and Ennis (Friday).

Kevin Thornton is the great philosopher of Irish food. His passion, understanding and drive to bring excellence to the plate has made him Ireland’s highest achieving chef. He was the first Irish chef to achieve two Michelin stars. Located in the heart of Dublin, overlooking magnificent St. Stephen’s Green, Thornton’s is a wonderful location for a sumptuous dining experience. New Kids! New Recipe!
Spring is in the air here at St Tola! We have had 25 kids born this week on the farm - as you can see from our kid photograph everyone is doing well! We have also been busy in the kitchen - spring might be in the air but we still love our warm hearty meals in the evening. Try out our new recipe for Chicken stuffed with St Tola with lentils and sweet beets. St Tola are delighted to annouce their new award - this time a Bronze at the World Cheese Awards for their St Tola Organic Goats Milk Log. Siobhan was surprised and delighted with the win and says it reflects the hard work and dedication of her work force! Watch out for St Tola on Nationwide in the next few months! St. Tola win Best Local Producer award.
We're thrilled at St. Tola to have won the 2011 Best Local Producer award at the Supervalu Irish Food Producer Awards, announced today at Ely CHQ Brasserie in the IFSC, Dublin. We are extremely grateful for this acknowledgement and delighted to be part of such a dynamic group of award winners. The SuperValu Irish Food Producers Awards "recognise excellence, quality & innovation within the Irish food and beverage sector." Thank you!
On presenting the award, Supervalu complimented St. Tola on representing all that is good about a local producer, providing employment in a rural area, supporting other local industries, putting money back into the local economy, and providing a range of organic goat cheeses that are unique to the locality and environment. They also said that St. Tola had worked closely with Supervalu, listening to what they and their customer wanted and expanded the range of cheese to suit these requirements.

It's beginning to taste a lot like Christmas! Well the Christmas lights are up around the country and we're looking forward to a time of goodwill and good food. Here at St. Tola we're happy to announce the seasonal return of St. Tola Irish Organic Goat Cheese with Cranberries. St. Tola Log with Cranberries and St. Tola Crottin with Cranberries is available in good food shops around the country and St. Tola Divine with Cranberries will be available in Supervalus nationwide for the Christmas period. Organic Foods Can Extend Life Expectancy
They may carry a higher price tag, but organic fruit and vegetables can help beat cancer, diabetes and heart disease, according to experts at a North East university.
Researchers from Newcastle University have discovered organic produce is 12% healthier than conventionally-grown greens. And the researchers say eating organic fruit and vegetables could help us live longer even if it is just for a few more days.
